Purus Limited have been selected to provide floor gullies for the 67-bedroom Lord Street Care Home in Redcar, Cleveland.
Purus worked alongside Crestbrook Heating to select the BBA-Certified Minimax 50 gully for the two-storey development, which also features offices, a library and disabled access. The Minimax is not only the world’s shallowest wetroom drain incorporating a NOOD no-odour trap with a combined mechanical and water seal, making it the perfect choice for care home developments; it is also extremely simple to clean and maintain. The patented NOOD trap does not allow any foul air to come up the trap even when dried out. A selection of stainless steel grates for both vinyl and tiled floors are also available.
Also available from Purus are a new range of Security Gullies, available with both plastic and stainless steel grates. The plastic grate is for areas where a less institutional appearance is desired, for example, for dementia patients. The stainless steel grate meets requirements for high security with its anti-ligature features. Both grate types come with locking screws for extra security. The Security Gullies also feature Purus’ patented NOOD no-odour trap.
